Windows 10 - How To Copy, Move & Delete files

Before we can copy files from one folder to another we have to tell Windows which files we are talking about (Click here to see how to select files).

When copying files you will end up with two copies of the files, the original file and the copy. If you only want one  copy of the file then you should 'move' the files instead of copying (Personally, instead of moving files, I always copy them and then delete the originals, This reduces any problems that can arise when 'moving' files).

Note: 'Cut-and-Paste' is a term that was used to describe the process of newspaper editors when they built whole pages by literally, cutting text out and pasting it onto a board. The term was later used to name the computer process of moving or copying files from one place to another.
It is a two-step process, the file(s) are copied from the source folder to memory called the 'Clipboard' then they copied from the Clipboard to the target folder)
